at hostfamilies house

Soooo I'm at my hostfamilies house! Just can't believe it. Actually they should pick me up this morning, but they did yesterday evening and I spend a nice day with them here. The A-Level tests are today, so it was no school. I just love their house (my house for one year...) and the animals are really lovely, I'm still a little scared of the horses, but I tried horseback riding and yeah I think I will learn it pretty soon.
So today another hostfamily visited us for BBQ, they're hosting a guy named Willi from Dresden, they're not living here but their kids visit the same school (as well Willi) soooo yeah some Germans more, hahaha.

I'm really excited about school tomorrow and I'll write as soon as possible!

The pictures are taken in Heredia, which is a beautiful little city near San José.

the hostel

Soo as you read I've only seen the hostel so far (ok that's not completely right, we were allowed to go  around a little but we were not allowed to bring our cameras) so here are some impressions of the hostel and kind of the way to the hostel. (INTERESTING!)

finally there

I'm in Costa Rica! Actually I arrived yesterday, but I had the worst jetlag in history and couldn't think about writing a post. I'm really excited and I like to show you guys some photos, but so far I dind't see much more as the airport and the hostel and the part of San José where the hostel is (but just on our way from the airport to the hostel, we're not allowed to leave alone)
So far I can say one thing: San José is a chaotic and noisy place but it's wonderful warm and you can see plants that you normaly just see on tv.
But one sad thing; leaving my parents was one of the hardest things I ever did. I cried a lot, but just at the airport at the moment everything is exciting and new and I can't think about home or homesickness.

You'll hear from me soon and I'm going to show you some pictures then.

¡Mañana, mañana!

Ok, as you can see on my little countdown, there are like 9 hours left (of course my flight doesn't goes exactly at midnight) I am surprisingly not that excited, I mean of course I am happy and sad, but actually I didn't really realise that I'm going to leave the country and the whole continent for a year. Maybe I'm going to realise it on the airport, who will know?
-I think you'll hear from me in two or three days.

confused and exhausted

In this moment I don't feel that great. I mean it feels like the whole world around me is rotating and I just stand still in the middle and can't do anything. I have to see so many people before I leave this country for a year. And they all just have time for me on monday, which means tomorrow. It feels horrible, because I want to see them all, but I'm completely exhausted. Also I want to visit my granma in the hospital (the other granma) but there are so may feelings in my mind, that I just can't control, once I could but that was (it seems so to me) long time ago. Could please anyone help me with this?- No I have to do this on my own, like always in the coming year, when I have a problem or miss anyone, I have to handle everything on my own. Yeah that's about growing up, huh?

netbook, camera and final letter

Soo yesterday I bought my new netbook and my wonderful nikon D5100! The camera works just great, the sam thing with the netbook. I first tried skype with my mom, I think she got it (I hope so...) Aaaand another good thing happened, I just got the final letter, with the flightticket, a guide for my ime, a nice shirt, ando so on. I'm soo happy and soo damn sad at the same time. In one week I'm in Costa Rica and can't think about anything else but my family. I will miss them so much, I just realised that I'm not going to see them for a year (yeah I know stupid) All right here are some photos.

trip to hamburg

Sorry, that I didn't post anything within the last days, I spent the weekend with my mother in Hamburg. It was my decision, first we wanted to watch a musical like The Lion King, or Sister Act, but then we decided, that's much too expensive and that we rather go and visit the city, because I never did that before.
It was amazing, Hamburg is the nicest city you can live in in Germany, besides Berlin.

Ok I try to make this to something I can advise you to... You should definitely go and visit your own country, before you go and visit another, so you can tell your hostfamily and the people who are also interested in your home, about everything you know, because they will ask you.

-Germany is a beautfiul place.

new in

I just bought my cabin-luggage bag, what I will also use in the rainforest. Aaand I bought something that's very important for people who stay a long time abroad, whithout their families, something that reminds them of their families. A locket.

goodbye-party

So yesterday was my big goodbye-party. Actually I wanted to take fotos, but I didn't do it, sorry... We celebrated it in our living room, because it was raining all day long and we couldn't go in the park. We had 3 nice cakes and coffee and lot's of talking and singing and loughing. After our little tea-party we went to a greek restaurant and ate as much as we could. Today was the last day I saw my brother, I was really sad, I will miss him so much, I have to think about something else...

I got some nice presents, that I didn't expect, including a nice journey diary.

visiting granma

Tomorrow I'm going to visit my granma for 3 days or so. I wanted to do this before I start my journey, because I'm really going to miss her and I wanted to spent some days with her. So I'm not aible to post anything within the next days, because my granma has no internet.

So see you soon (or something like that) I'm going to write about my soon coming goodbye party, hope you'll enjoy.
